K is for...

Kindness.

I think Kindness and Love go together - which is good because tomorrow is L...
We are to be kind to everyone. This includes those that hurt us, those that hate us, and those that don't believe as we believe. As a result, it isn't easy all of the time. If you insulate yourself into a world were you are only around those you love and believe the same (or at least close) things you do, it isn't so bad. But, then we are forgetting that we are to be the light of the world and aren't able to witness to the world around us! So, we have to be in the world (but not of the world).

What does kindness involve?
1. Being friendly with strangers by saying hi and talking with them (if they initiate it or you are stuck in the same place for a while, etc).
2. Helping someone if you see they have a need - great or small.
3. ...

Okay, I got stuck at two. Do you have any other ideas as to how to be kind - especially to someone you don't know (or know well)?

Well, it kind of relates to number 2, but I get a kick out of letting people cut in front of me at the grocery store. When I see someone holding two or three items and I have a lot, I let them go in front of me. They are always very appreciate and usually surprised.
